Tobacco use
We strongly recommend that you stop using tobacco and other smoking products 8 weeks before your procedure.
Whether you want to stop smoking or only manage it during your hospital stay, we strongly recommend that you contact a centre d'abandon du tabac (Quit Smoking Centre) in your area.
Alcohol and drugs
Reducing alcohol consumption is necessary to benefit from optimal care.
Because some drugs interact with the medications that may be administered during your stay, they can complicate management of your pain and your anesthetic; we strongly recommend that you stop taking all drugs before the planned procedure.
