Paying your contribution
The contribution is payable from the first day of the month. The day of your arrival is billable, but not the day of your departure. It is calculated on a pro rata basis for the number of days of your stay.
The goods and services provided to the housed adult by the institution:
- Items and services needed for personal hygiene and cleanliness such as:
- paper products or other goods noted in the individual service plan, or any other article required for the patient’s condition;
- body creams, shampoo, deodorant, hand soap, toothpaste, and facial tissue;
- normal cleaning and maintenance of the patient’s personal linens and clothing. The patient’s family can also look after these tasks.
- All equipment used by a housed adult for therapeutic purposes.
Goods and services whose costs must be covered by the accommodated adult:
- hairdressing services;
- personal care articles (cosmetics, hair spray, lotions, etc.);
- newspapers and meals ordered from outside;
- personal telephone and television rental;
- special treatment of clothing (dry-cleaning, mending, etc.).
Payment methods
The recommended payment method for long-term care and lodging is by pre-authorized withdrawal. You can also pay in one of these other ways: in cash, by cheque, debit card or credit card.
