Home hemodialysis
Home hemodialysis is an opportunity offered to people suffering from terminal kidney failure. Their hemodialysis can be conducted in the comfort of their own home.
Training provided
Home hemodialysis is possible thanks to training that allows the patient to fully regain their autonomy. The training is very complete and important. It also helps improve autonomy and the quality of life.
The training takes 4 to 6 weeks and teaches the patient to:
- Handle their dialysis access,
- Manage their treatment,
- Manage their device and its controls,
- Monitor their general condition.
First home treatment
When the patient is deemed ready, they will conduct their first dialysis at home under the supervision of the nurse and will subsequently be supported by the home dialysis team.
