After a hospital birth
A CLSC nurse will contact you to schedule a meeting 24 to 72 hours after you leave the hospital.
During this visit, the nurse will assess your newborn’s health. The nurse will be able to answer your questions and guide you on various aspects of your baby’s well-being.
The nurse will adapt the visit to you and your baby’s needs and can refer you, if necessary.
After a birth with a midwife
Your midwife will provide you with complete post-natal follow-up, at home and at the birthing centre. The midwife works in collaboration with different health specialists (gynecologists, pediatricians), when necessary.
